THE 5AM CLUB:
You need to get up early if you want to become EMPIRE-BUILDER,NEEDLE MOVER and everything in between.
Sill one question remains unanswered: What to do when you actually manage to get up at 5AM and change from your pajamas?
Well,worry not amongst the overinflated words that represent a large portion of the book,there are hidden gems like the 20/20/20 formula that will guide you in a half-sleep morning.
Here's a short overview of this EARLY-BIRD morning routine called the 20/20/20:
POCKET #1:
From 5:00 to 5:20AM - MOVE.
Once you're up,put on your work out clothes and start exercising. This will not only wake you up better than drinking a Double Frappuccino,But it will also help you later concentrate better.
When we wake up at 5AM the first we should do is Exercise. At 5AM when our competitors are busy sleeping we can do exercise & improve our body health and it also has many advantages.
THE ADVANTAGE:-
FOCUS :-
Many research proves that only 1 minute of Jumping Jack improves our focus at reading,studies and many more things get improved and our over all performance gets boosted up due to exercise and its impact on focus.
When we exercise our Brain stimulates the BDNF hormone. Most of you have doubts about BDNF? So simply BDNF is Brain Derived Neutro trophic Factor. Which improves our focus in every perspective of life.
ENERGY :-
While doing exercise the other thing that boosts up is Energy. When your first 20 minutes are very full and very energetic,so imagine how your day goes? Obviously it's full of energy and very enthusiastic. The Energy that we get from the inner of our body is very much longer than a thousand cups of coffee. The one thing is that some of the first days are very tough and some of you don't have that much energy throughout the day but after giving it some time you can see the result.
POCKET #2 :-
From 05:20 to 05:40AM-REFLECT
Write down what you're grateful for,who you hope to become and what your task for the day - The usual journal stuff. This will help you focus and keep you centered on your goal.
Reflection is not more than growing up. What I mean from growing up is that we have to take some of the time for yourself. We should do something that improves our life.
Mediation is one of the best things that we can do in the next 20 minutes section. Mediation has lots of benefits for the body.
QOne of the monks said that one should do at least 1 hour of Mediation daily. The reason behind it is that to purify our 'soul' or 'Atma' one should do Meditation.
So, basically what I want to tell you is , you have to spend this 20 minutes for yourself only.
POCKET #3:
From 05:40 to 06:00AM- GROW
This section is about getting better at something. Either read books or practice on your ability. Or,you can use the time to create your business and become the next Jeff Bezos.
Growing is the ability that every person can perform. For eg:- If you are good at singing you can improve it by different mediums , you also find your mistakes and solve them.
In these 20 minutes a person can read books and gain knowledge in their field. Basically in these 20 minutes you have to develop your skills and practice your abilities. If you are a student so your growth is to study your subjects or learn new skills.
If you perform these three skills for a year then you have done Exercise for 122 hr , you Reflect 122 hr and you Grow 122 hr.
So, Imagine in a single year you become your new version by just following these Techniques.
TWIN CYCLE OF ELITE PERFORMANCE.
The Twin cycle elite performance says that your WORK RATIO IS EQUAL TO REST.
Every successful person knows that their health is also important, so they balance work and also take proper rest.
EXAMPLE:-
There are some of the months where a farmer has to work very hard and also take proper responsibility of his crops , to take management of water supply, seed selection , give convenient fertilizers to soil,due to this valuable crops flourish.
Similarly there are also few months where the farmer doesn't need to perform anything and should give rest to the soil and himself too. Remember this is the time where the soil regains its minerals and becomes more productive and gives great products.
So, to conclude this I have to say give time to yourself also and get some rest from your busy lifestyle this makes you more productive and improves your performance.
HABIT INSTALLATION PROTOCOL :
Now the main question is. HOW TO BUILD HABITS WHO MAKE YOU A EARLY-BIRD.
Building habits are very much easy.In starting it may be somewhat difficult to build proper habits but after some time it gets easier to maintain it.
According to the book it takes 9 weeks to build unbreakable habits that is 66 days and the author divided these days/week in this stages
STAGE-1 Destruction phrases
The first three weeks are the DESTRUCTION PHRASES because in these phrases it's so difficult to get up from your bed. So you need very strong WILL POWER for it. In these times you have to just wake up because this is the habit building time so if you clear this phrase the other two become easy for you.
STAGE-2 INSTALLATION .
The next 22 days are the moments where you do not have to quit your job of habit building. In this time you just have to maintain your habits. The other things are done on their own. Your brain also get trained to get up early.
STAGE-3 INTEGRATION PHRASE.
If you reach this phrase believe me you really want to change your life and you have done it. To reach in this phrase is difficult but if you do it you will wake up early and you achieve your habit and these habits will change your LIFE.
CONCLUSION :
We discuss the 20/20/20 formula each section is for 20 minutes. In the first 20 minutes we can Exercise and about its advantages. Second 20 minutes we do Reflect in this section we can do meditation , goal setting etc…The third 20 minutes is for Grow in this to minutes we have to gain knowledge and read books .
Twin cycle of elite performance in this we discuss about the work and rest ratio. The work ratio is equal to the rest ratio; it helps you to be productive(farmer example) included in it.
In the end we discussed habit building. It is divided into 3 stages. It takes 9 weeks to have unbreakable habits and how to maintain those habits.
