NEW EDUCATION POLICY OF 2020
NEW EDUCATION POLICY OF 2020:
NEP- Highlights: Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the National Education Policy 2020, paving way for transformational reforms in the school and higher education sector in the country.
After 34 years, major changes are seen in our educational system. In this current method of education there are many loopholes and finally now the government has taken steps to make it fulfill .
NO LANGUAGE BARRIER
According to the new policy children are going to study in their Regional language or in Mother tongue till 5th standard. The government tries to make learning easier for the growing child.
A problem :
If a child studies in the local language then the communication of the entire nation can disturb, how?
If the student migrate from a state to another one then it becomes difficult for the child to adopt the new language in less time and this impacts on the study and if English in not teach in school then how the students of India compete to world because English is a language which almost every country can understand.
VOCATIONAL EDUCATION
The most appreciated change of education is vocational education. As the government reported that after 6th standard school's are focus on CODING,CARPENTRY,
POTTERY,DESIGN SENS,CRITICAL THINKING & many more activities will be taught by the school. The objective of this is to grow the children's mindset and by giving them small projects they can be more productive in the upcoming time , due to this our next generation will be more productive then us.
MULTI ENTRY AND EXIT POINT:
In the NEP government also describes multi entry and exit points, according to it any college student who leaves their college in the first year because of any problems, they may rejoin college and continue from 2nd year they no need to waste their time for 1st year. Students get a certificate for the 1st year, for 3th year they get a Diploma degree and they can finish their whole course in the 4th year. Their scores are saved in Academic Bank Of Credit in a digital form. These points help to attend next year's college admission.
NEW FORMULA:
Till now we study in 10+2 formula guidelines. Under the NEP government introduced a formula of 5+3+3+4 where a student studies from primary section to Higher secondary.NEP pitches for a “5+3+3+4” design corresponding to the age groups 3-8 years (foundational stage), 8-11 (preparatory), 11-14 (middle), and 14-18 (secondary).
REVAMPED BOARD EXAM.
From now the government will try to absorb the pressure of board examinations. They focus not only on the test papers but also they take interest in the Extracurricular activities. If someone is good in Debate but loses marks in any subject so due to this NEP a student can score good marks in their ScoreCard. Now onwards the schools also give importance to the Extracurricular Activities.
FOREIGN INSTITUTES. CAMPS IN INDIA.
The top 100 universities of the world can establish their camps in India. Harvard , Cambridge , London Business School & many more top level institutes come to India under NEP . The government wants to increase the quality of the education and the people of our nation get a professional education through this policy. The fees may be high due to this but the government does something to solve these issues.
MULTIDISCIPLINARY EDUCATION:
In multidisciplinary education a student has a right of minor & major. By this government try to break down the barrier of Science|Commerce|Arts. A person who takes Science in 11th but he is also interested in Account's then he also takes account as a minor subject and learns accounting in Science stream also. Government gives liberty to students to take their interests of subjects.
SINGLE REGULATOR
All colleges and school are under government provision except Medical institutes
& Legal Institutes. The government of India will open
H-Higher
E-Education
C-Commission of
I - India.
This institute will control the education in the nation and all the formalities are done through HECI. The new rules, debate on education are performed by this institute of government and the responsibility of education is on HECI.
DIGITALIZATION:
This crisis teaches us that offline classes are not effective every time. By taking lessons from it the government also mentions DIGITALIZATION in the NEP. Government will going to introduce a new form of learning. Many free apps, channel are introduced by the government in the upcoming time according to this policy.
EXPANSION OF EDUCATION:
NEP 2020 aims to increase the gross enrolment ratio in higher education including vocational education from 26.3 percent (2018) to 50 percent by 2035. At least 3.5 crore new seats will be added to higher education institutions.
By 2040 most of the institutions be a Multidisciplinary institutes
By 2030 every district have at least one multidisciplinary institutes
Gross enrollments will rise up to 50% by 2035.
Digital infrastructure will be developed in schools.
